Anna and Paul's wedding

I had a lovely day yesterday meeting up with all my friends again at a wedding. For someone who is usually fairly punctual, I have a bad habit of arriving late to weddings. This time my friend and I left an hour and a half of extra time to ensure we were not late and we still ran into the wedding five minutes before the bride. Apart from the initial stress, the wedding was beautiful. I picked up some good ideas that you can draw ideas from (or just copy) if you are planning a wedding.
1. The table decorations were beautiful and simple. Pretty lanterns with a thick white candle in each. These looked beautiful on the table and were lit after dinner to provide a (safe) candlelit dance floor for the evening.

2. A good idea is to have a ceilidh as part of the evening entertainment or for all of it. It is great fun and every one can get involved as you are told exactly what you are supposed to be doing on the dance floor. This is a relief for those joining in and also those who have to watch.

3. If you have a group of over excited friends, like us, put them as far away from the head table as possible. They will be quite content entertaining themselves and they won’t spoil your wedding day.

4. Let your friends know what colour the bridesmaids dresses are to avoid confusion when they all randomly decide to turn up in the same colour dresses as the bridesmaids.
